Trash & Recycling Collection
We are pleased to inform you that County Hauling, a Noble Environmental company, was awarded the contract for residential trash and recycling collection in Ingram Borough beginning July 1, 2024. Garbage collection will occur Thursdays. Recycling collection occur every other Thursday.

Once registered, you can sign up for convenient automatic payments to be withdrawn from your payment method of choice. Automatic payments are an excellent option for those concerned with the security of their information when mailing checks and the costs associated with doing so.
Collection Times:
Trash collection for Ingram Borough is every Thursday (excluding holidays). All items must be placed at the curb no later than 6 a.m. on the day of collection. After collection, any carts used for trash or recycling should be removed no later than the evening of your collection day.
Recycling will begin on Friday July 5th and will be collected every other week moving forward for all residences.
All trash and recycling containers, as well as bulk items, must be within five feet of the curb (or five feet from the edge of a traveled road) and placed so as not to interfere with the collection of other items, block the right of way or obstruct traffic. Items not visible or otherwise obstructed from view will not be collected.
All trash MUST be bagged before being placed in the trash can. Loose trash is a potential health hazard for our employees, is more difficult to collect and is a major factor in municipal litter.
There will be a limit of seven (7) bags of trash and one (1) bulk item per week for each household. See the attached calendar for the Holiday collection schedule. If a holiday falls on a weekday, collection is pushed back one day for all days that follow. Holiday Schedule:

Recycling Information
By recycling everyday items like those shown below, raw materials, time, energy and money are saved. Plus the recycled materials become new products – if you recycle an aluminum can today, it could be back on the shelf as a new one in 60 days – and the cycle continues.
Recycling will be collected every-other-week. Place only the acceptable recyclables shown below together in your recycling cart or bin – no sorting needed.
Please do not bag your recycling, it should be placed in the container loose. If you are placing loose cardboard out for recycling, please flatten all boxes and stack them neatly next to your recycling can. There will be no limit on the amount of recycling collected each week.
Containers that held food should be rinsed free of food debris and liquid.

Hazardous Household Waste Disposal
Ingram Borough residents are eligible to receive scheduled collection of electronic and household hazardous waste at no additional cost.
