Building/Zoning
The Building Inspector / Zoning Officer is responsible for reviewing plans, issuing permits and conducting inspections in accordance with the Borough Ordinances. Vince Alfieri is an employee of Building Inspection Underwriters. He is in the Borough Office on Monday and Wednesday mornings, and can be reached otherwise at (412) 855 – 1015.
Common Building Projects that Require a Permit include:
- House additions
- Decks
- Garages
- Fences
- Sheds
- Retaining walls over 4ft in height
- Swimming Pools
- Roofs
Property Complaints
Property complaints such as high grass, weeds or unsightly property can be reported to the Borough Code Enforcement Officer.
