The Ingram Borough council meeting scheduled for tonight has been canceled.
Jordan Tax Service will be at the Ingram Borough municipal building for real estate tax collection on the following dates:
March 5th 9:00 am to 12:00 pm
March 7th 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm
March 9th 9:00 am to 12:00 pm
April 25th 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm
April 27th 9:00 am to 12:00 pm
April 30th 9:00 am to 12:00 pm
Ingram Borough Council has an opportunity for young people who want to make a difference in the Borough. The program is designed to encourage high school juniors, seniors and college students to participate in local government and to provide their perspective and input.
The program runs for the length of the school year. If you are interested in learning about your local legislature, are interested in working alongside local representatives, or are simply seeking ways to build your resume, you now have the opportunity to join the Borough of Ingram Council as a Junior member.
Students are invited to submit a 100 word essay to the Borough of Ingram outlining the ways they would improve the borough. Council will be selecting candidate(s) to act as the council’s junior member(s). These new members will be invited to sit in on council meetings throughout from April 9, 2018 until Dec 2018.
Students who wish to participate must be a resident of Ingram and must submit their essays no later than March 30, 2018. Essays can be mailed to the attention of either Councilman Ellis or Mayor Sharon Stetz at the Ingram Municipal Building, 40 West Prospect Ave.

Ingram Borough is currently accepting applications for the position of real estate tax collector. This is an elected position that has become vacant; this appointment will expire at the end of 2019.
In order to be eligible for this position, the candidate must be a resident of Ingram, be a registered voter, provide a signed and notarized affidavit certifying continuous residency in Ingram Borough for the previous year and be bondable. The successful Applicant must also attend tax collector training and receive certification within 60 days of appointment (to be payed by the Borough). The successful Applicant must also submit a Pennsylvania State Police Criminal History Record within thirty (30) days of appointment that establishes that they have not been convicted of a crime under Act 48-2015 that prohibits them from taking office.
Tax collection law authorizes the tax collector to deputize an outside agency (subject to approval and paid for by the borough) to collect Ingram Borough real estate tax. Ingram Borough will request the tax collector to be available at the Ingram Borough Building for at least six days (minimum six hours per day) during the last two weeks of June to receive in-person payments from residents. The rate of pay for this position will be $600 per year payable at $50 per month.
The successful Applicant is legally required to collect real estate taxes for the Montour School District from Ingram residents. The rate of pay for this requirement will be set by the school district.
Applications can be dropped off at the Borough Building or emailed to email@example.com and will be taken until Monday, February 5th. Interviews will be conducted on February 12th at the Borough Building. You will receive a call to schedule.
The Borough of Ingram along with the Borough of Crafton have partnered with Nixle to implement a NEW Community Notification System to alert residents in real-time of localized emergency situations and relevant Community advisories.
All alerts will be targeted geographically, allowing residents to receive localized, relevant alerts from Ingram & Crafton Boroughs. Nixle Alerts can be sent via text, e-mail, voice, web, social media and mobile app.
Note: The system will be up and running on November 1st, 2017.
